The Problem​

The Royal Surrey & Ashford and St Peters NHS Foundation Trusts were implementing the Cerner EPR system as part of their Surrey Safe Care Programme, which required a significant number of hires across both trusts. The speed and volume of hiring required to support the programme was a significant challenge.

The Work

Evolution devised a call-off arrangement, creating an overall contract for services that could cover the full range of required resources. This approach saved valuable time and decreased the time to hire for the client, across both trusts. Evolution also conducted the interview process for lower-level requirements, recording the interviews and sending them to the client. This allowed the client to focus on the high volume of requirements and streamline their recruitment process.

The Outcome

Early placements were made across both trusts to support the implementation of Cerner simultaneously. In 2021, Evolution placed a Theatres Change Analyst, RA Agent, Order Comms Change Partner, 2 Cerner PAS Business Analysts, Theatres Change Partner, and a Second-line engineer. In 2022, 8 Service Desk Analysts, 5 Data Quality Officers, a Technical Project Manager, 10 Cerner Booking & Scheduling Officers, 2 Programme Managers, and an EPR Consultant were placed to provide support and expertise for the ongoing Surrey Safe Care Programme.
