The Problem

Southern Counties Pathology Network (SCPN), a collaboration of seven NHS trusts, had procured a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) – Winpath Enterprise, which they are in the process of rolling out. However, they faced a major challenge in building a team to carry out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure that the new LIMS system is ready for use by healthcare providers.

The Work

We are partnered with the respective organisation from a talent perspective. Our role is to provide an outcome-based solution around LIMS testing to ensure the new LIMS system is ready for use by healthcare providers. In order to understand the problems and translate them into personnel requirements, we held a workshop every four weeks. From there we created three bespoke solutions with varying degrees of cost and presented them to SCPN to select the most suitable proposal. Finally, we pushed ahead on resource attraction for the relevant proposal, sourcing the best possible candidates for the roles.

The Outcome

A team comprising 1 Test Manager, 9 Test Analysts, and a Full Test Team was delpyed. This allowed SCPN to carry out UAT Testing and progress towards delivering the desired outcome.
