My client is looking to add several Technology Advisors to their specialist public facing advisory team. The team deals with some of the most complex privacy, data rights, data protection and emerging technology issues that society faces.
Provide expert input on emerging cyber threats, technologies and the intersection with privacy rights.
Anticipate and analyse future technological, political, social, legal developments in cybersecurity that impact on information rights.
Conduct assessments of need and draw up and implement plans to ensure the department can respond to support demands proactively, and with a high level of service focus.
Lead research and analysis efforts to monitor and investigate emerging issues, and information security risks arising from cybersecurity threats and challenges.
Ensure you are conversant with relevant legislation and political, social and legal as well as technological developments, that impact on information rights.
Represent the organisation in situations where expert advice or guidance is needed, eg meeting senior technical representative bodies and information rights interest groups, speaking at conferences, etc..
Strong knowledge of current trends and practices relating to the use of information, communications and information security technologies.
Strong knowledge of threat and risk assessment processes and practices, as applied to information security.
You will have expertise in one or more of the following;
Strong understanding of Data Protection, Data Privacy, Security Policy, Freedom of Information and related legislation, policy and best practice.
Research skills demonstrating an ability to identify emerging IT issues and technologies.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
