As Salesforce Administrator, you will report to the CRM Lead, and work as an integral member of the technology group, focused on enabling the global implementation, integration, and adoption of Salesforce. You will learn about our users’ unique requirements, and then use your Salesforce technical knowledge and business analysis experience to deliver the best possible solution to drive growth in our organisation. You will lead delivery of automation solutions with CPQ to accurately configure products, apply pricing and workflow-based approvals. Critical to the success of your role be the effective collaboration with business development, economist and technology teams.
As the primary contact for the CRM system, the role includes support and maintenance, governance, enhancement and improvements and building relationships with external suppliers. You will understand all aspects of the Salesforce configuration and technical / functional capabilities whilst ensuring all issues and incidents are managed and where necessary include the wider Technology group. Key to your success will be an active appreciation for the role economics plays in the world and how effective CRM systems can contribute and enable growth and deliver business value
Main Responsibilities
  • Support our global Salesforce environment as well as all major integrations to the Salesforce platform such as SAP and our subscription-based content management platform
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot and debug technical issues inside a deep and complex technical stack that includes microservices, containers, and virtualization
  • Create/maintain users, fields, objects, validation rules, workflow rules, process builder, approval processes, Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, etc
  • Work with Marketing and Sales users and understanding of their diverse needs and look to automate where possible
  • Deliver Salesforce CPQ applications, including product rules, price rules, and dynamic options
  • Helping improve standardization and adoption of common practices by actively keeping abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform diagnostic research to understand how users engage with the system an improve adoption and on boarding of staff to the platform
  • Carry out Data Quality management activities, including develop and maintain various data definitions and standards (e.g. data quality)
  • Review and assess change requests from business development / Salesforce steering group
  • Maintain a deep and thorough understanding of the organisation’s data and system landscape, business processes and overall technology architecture
Key Skills:
  • Salesforce certified, for example, Salesforce Certified Administrator ADM201, Platform App
  • Builder, Business Concepts CPQ, Declarative Tools, Platform App Builder Certification
  • Experience using formula fields to derive/infer data and understands how to use lookup fields to associate records (skilled in relational data modelling)
  • Confident making design decisions, for example creating new fields/relationships vs inferring data in a report
  • Dataloader/Workbench experience, data migration experience, understanding of reporting across systems (using ID’s/names to find data in multiple databases) i.e. Salesforce and SAP, duplication rules/best practices
  • Data access/security/sharing – understands use of profiles, roles and organisation wide defaults
  • Understand use Single sign on integration with Microsoft AD
  • Skilled in exploring, interpreting and explaining user-data related issues to key business stakeholders and communicate impact to business process.
