The Problem

Doconomy AB was founded in 2018 and is both a fintech startup as well as a philosophy about how we as humans can use our money as a tool for positive change for the climate. Doconomy ‘ s vision is to enable a sustainable lifestyle for everyone by providing simple mobile banking services that can change behavior, manage savings and reward a development towards sustainable consumption. After major investment from Mastercard, Doconomy needed to scale quickly and Evolution were able to provide tech contractors to meet demand.

The Work

Evolution Recruitment Solutions are on hand to provide support whenever a need arises for Doconomy on an ongoing basis. We manage the recruitment process from the start, and through defining key skillsets and priorities from the outset, we are able to provide highly relevant profiles for each role.

After initially contacting us about Product roles after Doconomy appeared on our Evolution Exchange Podcast, we were able to quickly understand the Doconomy vision and story which we knew would resonate with candidates. Using tried and testing search methodologies, mixed with extracts from the Podcast where the Doconomy vision is shared, we were able to find highly qualified Tech Freelancers who were immediately available.

Working through Slack to share initial profiles and re-configure where needed, we ran the interviews with the Product team to find the right fit. Feedback was quickly chased on both sides and placements were made.

The Outcome​

After successfully helping Doconomy with their Product Roles, they were happy to trust us with Development and Data roles too. So far, we have placed 5 tech freelancers at Doconomy and hope to see that figure grow as they announce more investment in the coming years.

In the tech market, recruitment happens around the clock. One of the things that I was really impressed with was how the team at Evolution matched that pace. I had complete confidence that Evolution were always looking for the right candidates, asking the right questions and providing us with the right options. It was a well-oiled machine!
