Full Stack Developer – Dublin

Role Overview:

They are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic Group Technology team. Reporting directly to the Software Development Lead, this role is integral to their cross-functional digital development team. You will contribute to various projects, from enhancing the customer experience to growing traffic and developing subscriber offers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with a diverse team to create digital solutions that elevate customer satisfaction and fuel business growth.
• Craft efficient and maintainable code using Symphony, PHP, React, Node.js, BitBucket, AWS, CircleCI, Jenkins, and various other frameworks and utilities.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of code through comprehensive testing across all stages: unit, integration, and end-to-end.
• Develop and deploy RESTful API endpoints to facilitate seamless communication between front-end, back-end, and external systems.
• Maintain adherence to software security protocols and data privacy standards.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks through troubleshooting and optimization of code.
• Interpret stakeholder and B2B needs to deliver precise solutions and innovative features.
• Provide mentorship to team members, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge to nurture a collaborative learning environment.
• Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant experience demonstrating a strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, React, NodeJS, REST, and RSS feeds.
• Familiarity with distributed version control tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Proven ability to thrive in an Agile team environment.
• Strong adaptability to evolving project requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously.

Desired:

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Competence in additional programming languages and tools.
• Understanding of AWS cloud computing principles.
• Capability in creating software documentation.
• Basic proficiency in data analytics.
