This Thursday Evolution Australia's Director, Liam McDaid will be spending a night out in the cold as part of the 2017 Vinnies CEO Sleepout along with 1529 other CEOs at Sydney's Cricket Ground. Despite the weather forecast (currently as low as 2 degrees and raining), "I am looking forward to what is sure to be a humbling experience, far outside my comfort zone, in support of this great cause."
According to St Vincent de Paul's Society, "More than 2.5 million Australians are living below the poverty line and more than 105,000 Australians are experiencing homelessness. Behind these numbers are real people, doing it really tough."
The CEO Sleepout participants get to see the problem first-hand and in lending their voices, networks and resources they help advocate homelessness awareness and raise crucial funds for Vinnies Homeless Services across the whole of Australia.
