With a vision to modernise their laboratory operations and data management, the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts had invested in a cutting-edge LIMS solution. However, the ambitious project had reached a critical juncture and they were struggling to keep the programme of work on track, largely due to resourcing issues. Before they could progress to the next crucial phase of implementation, they required User Acceptance testing of the new LIMS.<\/p>

We mobilised our NHS networks to find suitable candidates for the project as quickly as possible. Understanding the urgency at which this testing needed to be completed to keep the project moving, we ran outreach work to seek, qualify and attract skilled BMS testers.
We sought out candidates who not only had the necessary technical skills but also a deep understanding of the specific challenges and intricacies of healthcare laboratory management. This approach allowed us to not only meet the urgent need for testers but to ensure that they were a perfect fit for the unique requirements of the project, ultimately leading to a seamless and efficient testing process.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Result<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts have now been able to complete two rounds of testing (one for Blood Sciences and one for Microbiology), thanks to the BMS testers that Evolution provided. Both phases were finalised ahead of schedule, surpassing the anticipated timeframe.<\/p>

Evolution placed 12 contractors over the 2 phases. The success of the first phase meant that a number of people were specifically requested to return for phase 2. The work was completed fully remotely and we worked with the organisation on access and set ups, with individuals required to complete a minimum of 7 test scripts per day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We have so far completed 2 rounds of testing with great success. We completed both phases at a faster pace than expected. We did have a few teething issues regarding It access and training but Evolution were quick to support and liaise with testers to keep them on board.<\/p>

The majority of the testers are back with us for subsequent phases which speaks to how well we have worked with Evolution to provide a rounded offering.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
