Application Delivery Manager (ADM) – 1 year renewable contract

    Description:

    The Application Delivery Manager (ADM) for my client – a large local bank – is responsible for all aspects of software development for multiple applications from functional specifications to production implementation and post implementation support; using established methods and technologies with off-the- shelf or custom solutions delivered using a combination of internal staff (application teams, IT partners, business partners) contractors and vendors.

      Key responsibilities:

    1. Project Delivery Management
    2. Plan technical deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet Project’s requirements within allocated budget and schedule
    3. Plan & collaborate across different application teams to manage technical dependencies of the solution in the project delivery cycle
    4. Monitor and manage risks /issues related to technical delivery
    5. Provide status update related to technical delivery to project management office and senior leadership
    6. Plan resource allocation and utilisation across the various project and quarterly releases
    7. Manage the resource Supply vs demand
    8. Manage vendor relationship and statement of works
    9. Partner with Test Manager to ensure completion of SIT, UAT testing, performance / load testing and application security testing with quality results
    10. Prepare technical implementation plan across application teams
    11. Coordinate technical implementation activities across application teams to ensure non-event production cutover and adequate post implementation support
    12. Attend to issues unravelled during project duration (requirements confirmation, development, SIT/UAT and implementation stages) and work with teams to determine/agree resolution
    13. Escalate project issues on timely basis to project managers and determine workarounds or resolution with stakeholders
      1. Technical Requirements:

      2. 8 – 10 years of relevant project management experience related to Cash Management eg. Funds Transfer, FAST/GIRO, SWIFT Processing
      3. PMP or similar certification
      4. Knowledge in banking software for wholesale banking industry especially Cash Management
      5. Knowledge in banking applications such as Current Account/Savings/Fixed-Deposits and ATM/Internet banking will be an added advantage
      6. Advantageous to have knowledge in RPG, CL programming, C, Cobol on AS400 platform / Unix on Open System platform 
      7. General Requirements:

      8. Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines or equivalent experience
      9. Relevant Experience in Banking / Finance / IT; good knowledge in financial services policies, procedures, products, and industry practices
      10. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
      11. Able to work independently with minimum supervision
      12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
      13. Strong problem solving & analytical skills
      14. Proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery
      15. Good understanding and experience in of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Knowledge in Agile development methodology is a plus
      16. Strong negotiation skills
