I am currently working with a leading NHS organisation in the North-West of England, who is looking for an EPR Systems Developer. 

Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months (possibility of extension) 
Rate
IR35 Status: Outside

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day developments 
  • Responsible for the secure management and integrity of sensitive data and key trust systems
  • Responsible for the design, development and testing of dashboards and reports that convert complex data into visually understandable and accessible 
  • Management and planning of support calls relating to developments, ensuring service desk software is updated and calls resolved within agreed service level agreements
  • Maintain up to date records of logins and other system administration details
  • Promotes the best use of Trust information systems and works closely with colleagues across the department and wider Trust to improve end users experience and usage of systems
  • The post holder will be required to monitor the performance and quality of associated third party support contracts, analysing complex situations, investigates, comparing the range of solutions and taking remedial action when necessary
  • Play a key role in the identification, planning, testing, development and implementation of modules and enhancements to systems
  • Assess impact for end users of proposed system changes and develop technical change documentation to support the development of training packages for end user
Experience:
  • 2+ years creating developments and coding using languages such as SQL, C++. Java and Delpho
  • 2+ years of planning and delivering change within an informatics environment
  • 2+ years of change and control processes producing technical specification options
  • Experience of managing and supporting complex database management systems
  • Experience of gathering and defining user requirements
  • Experience of NHS IT systems and services
  • Up to date practical knowledge of the management of and use of Software application platforms e.g., SQL. IBM, Oracle
  • Expert level of understanding of relational database management systems
  • Advanced computer literacy and keyboard skills and technical skills in one or more of the following areas; relational database, data modelling, systems programming languages, advanced SQL. end user interface design
