Digital Learning Designer experience in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite

Working from Home 6 month contract,  working for a large High street banking group this project will take a number of years as it addresses the future of digitalisation at the bank and how it interacts with its staff and customers across platforms and applications .  (Inside IR35 Long term 6 month rolling contract)  

To develop a variety of industry leading, future thinking digital learning solutions spanning a range of media to design impactful and effective multi-media learning solutions.  Working collaboratively with other designers and other key stakeholders to ensure solutions meet the needs of the business.

Core Responsibilities

In order to carry out this role, each candidate must be able to provide evidence of experience in the following areas:

  • Digital acumen and shows significant experience in the development of a variety of digital media
  • Shows extensive experience of digital design using a variety of applications and media including Articulate Storyline and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite  with the ability to be creative and innovative maximising the opportunities to create a great learning experience
  • A deep skilled specialist with extensive knowledge and experience of complex design and maintenance of learning products and media
  • A learning technologist who is adept, confident and has extensive experience in the development of various high-end complex digital media
  • A visual designer, who can develop a range of complex and visual media including motion graphics and 3D development etc
  • Recognise great UX and UI principles to create modern, future thinking media solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other designers and key business stakeholders to influence thinking to maximise the opportunities available across the medias
  • Creative mindset, with a willingness to understand a problem, and seek opportunities in how we can maximise technology to meet needs
  • Use external insight and industry best practice to drive creative thinking and innovation
  • Working within a large, corporate environment on projects that span different work streams and multiple business areas
  • Creation and development of proposals, storyboards and/or scripting prior to content design following agreed standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team to develop all or part of a complex solution, with self-discipline to meet timescales and deliverables to contribute to the overall design delivery.
  • Ability to coach others in digital design and use of new software/tools
  • Design of learning solutions incorporating a blend of multi-media learning solutions
  • Key skills

  • Authoring Tools – Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate
  • Graphics/Visuals – Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Video Production/Motion Graphics – Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • A full spec laptop is provided loaded with the relevant software to enable you to work productively from home via a remote two factor authentication log in. 
  • Organisational Skills – The ability to work flexibly across multiple projects and to work on own with minimal guidance
  • Stakeholder Management / Managing Relationships – ability to work with instructional designers, internal learning teams and key business stakeholders
  • Personal Resilience – ability to work at pace and have the resilience to manage changing and competing priorities, either individually or as part of a team
  • Adaptable/Self-Reliance – ability to work either individually or as part of a team and be self-reliant
  • Influencing skills to influence direction of travel and suggest new and exciting ways of digital learning
  • Innovation – always seeking to improve, introducing new techniques, concepts and ways of doing things
  • Excellent visual design skills with a clear grasp of what makes a great User Experience and Interface

  • Use external insight and industry best practice to drive creative thinking and innovation
  • Confident in making decisions and recommendations with a strategy led approach
  • Ability to produce material adopting a blended approach; including face to face, virtual learning, distance learning and other supporting solutions
  • Evidence of a e-portfolio to showcase previous work would be essential
