What is IT Recruitment
Recruitment is a professional sales role and is predominantly telephone based.
Your role will be to develop relationships with new and existing clients selling IT recruitment solutions. To be successful, you will need to acquire vacancies, source suitable applicants and utilise closing skills to secure placements in a competitive market place.
In summary, the role involves selling applicants to clients and clients to applicants.
Your working day will be busy, fast moving and dynamic and you will undoubtedly find yourself juggling a variety of tasks at the same time.
This is a demanding role that is not your typical 9 - 5 job but neither are the rewards!
What we look for
Our current team represents a diverse mix of people from a variety of backgrounds. This includes successful sales people from other sectors, former IT professionals and graduates. However, we believe the right attitude and aptitude is often more important than experience. The following describes the attributes we typically look for:
Successful sales experience (preferably business to business) is an advantage but not essential.
Ability to be persuasive and sell in a consultative manner.
Good at building rapport and developing fruitful long term relationships.
Good negotiation skills.
Commercial awareness - the ability to identify and capitalise on sales opportunities.
